Mount Batur Sunrise Hiking

Mount Batur is located in Batur, Kintamani, Bali. The Mount Batur sunrise trekking tours start in complete darkness and you make your way up 2,296 feet. It took us about 2 hours to summit Mount Batur. The entire trek including watching the sunrise on Batur took 5 hours.

Batur is a climb, a proper hike up a mountain. The first half is a bit deceiving as you ascend up a paved roadside hill. About one hour into the hike, steep, loose terrain crumbles as you literally climb up and around volcanic rock

You will experience watching the sunrise from the top of the volcano over a beautiful crater lake. Mount Batur is the most active volcano in Bali, its peak sits at 1717 meters above sea level. It has the most beautiful caldera in the world.
